Folly’s Rollercoaster

Wisdom has built her house; she has set up its seven pillars. (Proverbs 9:1)

Have you ever felt that you are being pulled into diferent directions at the same time? I have been living this way for the past few weeks feeling like I am on a roller coaster and God has given me insight into exactly what is happening.

My Valentine

He answered, “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind’; and, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’” (Luke 10:27)

The Unexpected Stop

The Bible says that we will face trials. God uses events, people, tragedy, suffering and situations to teach us and mold us into the people He created us to be.

Some of us are more hard-headed than others and He has to keep bringing the same things to our attention until it finally sinks in and we can say, ok God, I get it. Continue reading

Gift of Mortality

Nestled in my arms and contented to rock the afternoon away, my son falls asleep. The gentle rocking motion soothes the tiredness and lulls me into a state of easy rest.

This is how I picture God to be when I come to him with my worries and cares and concerns. He nestles me into His arms and lulls me into a peaceful state. Continue reading
